165th Anniversary of the Founding of the Armenian Evangelical Church

On Sunday, 3 July, 2011, in the Armenian Evangelical First Church, the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East, celebrated with a worship service, the 165th Anniversary of the forming of the Armenian Evangelical Church in Istanbul in 1846.

The guests were Archbishop Kegham Khatcherian, representing the Armenian Apostolic Church and Vartan Ashkarian representing the Armenian Catholic Church. Present were also the Bourj Hammoud mayor, Mr. Antranig Messerlian, the Armenian Embassy representative, and the Armenian political parties as well as various social organizations.....Read more >>

Armenian Evangelical College Banquet in Beirut

The Armenian Evangelical College’s Annual Banquet took place at the Pheonicia Hotel’s Ballroom on May 22, 2010, at 9:00 p.m. under the auspices of the Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri, who was represented by Minister of State Jean Oghassapian.

In attendance were many dignitaries and notables of the Armenian Community. After the National Anthem, the Principal of the College, Dr. Zaven Messerlian welcomed those present. He was followed by the Pastor of the First Armenian Evangelical Church of Beirut, Rev. Hagop Sarkissian, who gave the Prayer. The evening enjoyed the music of Hratch Isahakian and his band, as well as the noted Armenian singer Vicken Tarpinian, accompanied by Patrique Peryeras on the piano, who had especially come from Paris for the event.....Read more >>

Honoring the Principal & Two Board Members

May 25, 2010 — News Report on Future TV Armenian News as broadcast on May 25, 2010, concerning the AEC Gala that took place on May 22, 2010, and during which 2 AEC Board members (Dr. Arda Ekmekji who had served for 25 years) and Mrs. Roubina Artinian (who has served for 25 years and continuing) were honoured with plaques by the First Armenian Evangelical Church and the principal of AEC, Dr. Zaven Messerlian was presented with the "Medal of Science" of the Lebanese state by MP Jean Oghassabian representing the Lebanese president Michel Sleiman.  Watch the video:
